Volunteer with Orleans Habitat for Humanity, Inc.
Volunteer
Alert:
In
cooperation with Community Action and BOCES, we've finished doing
our first rehab - a 150 year old house in Medina.
During
the summer 2011 we'll start our second rehab, also in Medina. There
will be lots of cleaning, painting, carpentry and other work.
We usually work
on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. until the house is completed.
This project may involve work during the week also since we need
to get the house finished as quickly as possible.
If you can work then we'd like to know..
There are many opportunities to get involved on a volunteer basis
with Orleans Habitat for Humanity, Inc. including:
- Scheduling
- Telephoning
- Record keeping
- Building site labor and supervision*
- Fund raising events and activities
- Various professional skills
- Providing or serving lunch to build site laborers
- Photography
* We always need experienced construction people
to help lead our volunteers. If you are a retired builder, contractor,
electrician, plumber or any other construction tradesperson, please
call us! We do need your help.
If you have an interest in any of the areas listed above ... or
