Volunteer Alert:
Work on House Number Twelve has begun as of August 2008! It's located at 638 East State Street in Albion.

It's February 2010 and we're putting the finishing touches on the house.

We're at a stage where work is somewhat limited and sporadic. You should definitely call ahead before coming to the site.

BOTH EXPERIENCED and LESS EXPERIENCED VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! No special skills required other than working with a hammer or other hand tools.

We work Saturday's from 9-1, so if you can help, please call Maureen at 798-5414 so we know you're coming!

We will be working every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. until the house is completed.

Also, there are opportunities during the week to work a few hours in the late afternoon - early evening. If you can work then we'd like to know.

There are many opportunities to get involved on a volunteer basis with Orleans Habitat for Humanity, Inc. including:

Scheduling
Telephoning
Record keeping
Building site labor and supervision*
Fund raising events and activities
Various professional skills
Providing or serving lunch to build site laborers
Photography

* We always need experienced construction people to help lead our volunteers. If you are a retired builder, contractor, electrician, plumber or any other construction tradesperson, please call us! We do need your help.
